On behalf of the global fund Education Cannot Wait, we are working with the National Education System Resilience Support Project to ensure that children aged 3 to 17 who are vulnerable or in emergency situations following attacks on their villages by armed groups continue to receive quality education in the Centre-East region of Burkina Faso.
Ensuring Children Stay in School
Our teams in Switzerland and in the field are working to improve access to, retention in and continuity of education in a safe and protective environment for school-age children (aged 3-17) who are displaced, refugees or from vulnerable host families.
We also provide support to the Ministry to ensure the effective coordination and monitoring of various interventions.

Aicha, 10 years old, internally displaced pupil
I used to work in agriculture and farming with my parents in the village. I didn’t go to school. Now I’m happy to attend school and to learn with my classmates.
