Reporters for Rights

Children’s Perspectives on Their Rights

Reporters des droits (Reporters for Rights) is a project that gives children the opportunity to express themselves on the rights that affect them and to share their own views and perspectives with those around them and the general public.

With their eyes on the lens, their pens in the inkwell or their hands glued to a mixing desk, children are creatively asserting their rights and examining them in their own way. Through video, photo, radio, written and spoken reports, children in Switzerland and around the world have carte blanche to make their voices heard and share their perspectives on these famous rights that are theirs.

Reporters des droits enables children in French-speaking Switzerland and countries in the Global South, girls and boys regardless of their origin, age, religion or legal status, to express themselves on topics of their choice related to their rights and to be heard by decision-makers and stakeholders in this area.

Enfants du Monde aims to contribute to changing attitudes by highlighting children’s observations and comments on the reality, respect and implementation of children’s rights in Switzerland and around the world.

The project also enables children to acquire, develop and mobilise new skills (expression, representation, critical analysis, etc.) relating to the full exercise of their rights.

Following the success of the 2019 edition, Enfants du Monde was commissioned in 2023 by the Neuchâtel Adult and Youth Protection Service to carry out this project with school classes in the canton.

Sophia Young Reporter

Participating in the Reporters des droits project was a wonderful and very enriching experience. It allowed me to meet other young women from Mexico and the Philippines who are working to defend their rights in their countries, and to share our experiences together.
