Myriam Gallio Appointed Secretary General of Enfants du Monde

The Board of Enfants du Monde has appointed Myriam Gallio as Secretary General, effective 1 July 2026. Nicolas Bach, previously Director of Administration and Finance, has been appointed Deputy Secretary General.

These appointments mark a new chapter for Enfants du Monde. They come at a time of profound organisational transformation in a rapidly changing international cooperation landscape, while ensuring continuity in the organisation’s mission and commitments to its partners.

Extensive Knowledge of Enfants du Monde

Since joining Enfants du Monde in 2016, Myriam Gallio has served as Deputy Secretary General while also leading the organisation’s programmes. She has played a central role in overseeing the education and health portfolios, guiding their strategic development, and leading the organisational repositioning required by an evolving global context. She has also held significant responsibilities in institutional leadership, team management, partner engagement, and organisational change.

A Career Built on Field Experience and International Expertise

With more than twenty years of experience, Myriam Gallio brings a strong foundation in international cooperation. Before joining Enfants du Monde, she held positions with UNICEF Nepal, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Bern and Cambodia, as well as several international NGOs. These experiences enabled her to work at the intersection of strategic management, institutional representation, policy dialogue, programme oversight, and the development of high-quality approaches, particularly in education and training.
