Voices United in Support of the Right to Education

The project  “Une Chanson pour l’Education”, implemented with the support of the Zappar Company, invites children to use music to stand up for their right to education. Under the guidance of experienced professional artists, children participate in the production of songs, CDs, and music videos promoting access to education for all children, regardless of borders.

A Song That Transcends Borders

Launched in 2011 on the initiative of the Swiss Network for Education and International Cooperation, of which Enfants du Monde is a member, A Song for Education quickly crossed borders. Students and artists from Burkina Faso, Haiti, and Quebec joined Switzerland in defending the right to education for all children around the world by producing a CD and performing their songs on stage.

In total, nearly 3,800 students in five different countries have participated in A Song for Education. Established artists such as Swiss singers Marc Aymon, Fraissinet, and K, as well as the Gangbé Brass Band from Benin and Burkinabe singer Dicko Fils, have also lent their voices to this project.
