Children&#8217;s rights are basic rights, unconditional rights that all countries should respect. It therefore recommends that States, including Switzerland, systematically address children&#8217;s rights in schools and establish effective age-appropriate participation mechanisms. Our approach to education for sustainable development also enables children to connect with broader issues in their own countries and around the world.<\/p>\n<h5><b>Understanding your rights in context, in Switzerland and around the world<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>To meet these needs, Enfants du Monde carries out in-depth work on children&#8217;s rights education in schools as part of its projects in Switzerland and abroad. Rooted in an approach to education for sustainable development, the child rights education program enables schoolchildren in Switzerland, as well as in Guatemala and Burkina Faso, to reflect on their rights by addressing issues they encounter in their daily lives, both at school and at home. The aim is not only for them to know their rights, but also and above all to understand the challenges involved in implementing them in their cultural and social context.
