The country is currently undergoing a historic transition from a centralised state to a federal and secular republic and faces significant challenges.<\/p>\n                                                                                                            <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n        <section class=\"contentSec\" style=\"display:\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"contentBlock\">\n                <h5><\/h5>\n                <p>The last decade has seen significant internal migration, forcing people to leave rural areas in search of employment in cities. In 2016, the maternal mortality rate was 239 per 100,000 live births (5\/100,000 in Switzerland**).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, one in two women does not attend the recommended four prenatal check-ups during pregnancy, and in the district of Lumbini, fewer than two in ten women receive postnatal care. Seven out of ten women give birth at home. The infant mortality rate is 42 per 1,000 live births, well above the national average of 32 per 1,000.<\/p>\n                                                                                                            <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n        <section class=\"contentSec\" style=\"display:\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"contentBlock\">\n                <h5>Improving the Quality of Care and Encouraging Women to Seek Neonatal Care and Treatment for COVID-19<\/h5>\n                <p>Today, women remain reluctant to seek maternal and child health services and rarely know how to protect themselves and their babies from COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Enfants du Monde and <a href=\"https:\/\/greentara.org.np\/\"><b><u>Green Tara Nepal<\/u><\/b><\/a> have developed a training kit on respect for mothers and newborns to encourage health workers to consider the rights, dignity and privacy of women and their babies and to communicate with respect and confidentiality with patients, their partners and their families.<\/p>\n<p>The kit also increases teams&#8217;
